New York Fashion Week – Tadashi Shoji – Fall 2012 is one of the best NYFW recently (from our opinion). Tadashi Shoji’s show was a dramatic way to kick off the week. The ultra-feminine collection featured floor-skimming, billowy gowns with high boat necks. Strapless dresses had their turn as well. Velvet and sheer lace added delicate touches, and Asian-inspired patterns rounded out the looks. Zola Jesus provided the perfect soundtrack to complement the daring, bold colors and unexpected, but softer neutrals.
New York Fashion Week – Tadashi Shoji – Fall 2012: According to the designer, the collection not only was based on the Golden Age of Shaghai, which was ridden with problems from darker times, but juxtaposed as a vision of present day; As the world shifts gears and moves forward with an thirst for effervescence to achieve prosperity amidst an economic slump, Shoji’s Fall collection took us to a time when optimism was achieved through classic beauty.
